The priority of the trial was to isolate any effectiveness of ATLANT™in enhancing rainfall with a high degree of statistical confidence, in the process delivering robust an dreplicable statistical methods. The statistical methodology was developed and applied by Prof. Ray Chambers from the University of Wollongong. The evaluation found:

The statistical analysis showed 15.3% more rain fell in the 60-degree downwind sector than would have fallen if Atlant had not been operational. This result was significant at the one per cent level (99 per cent confidence level). The 90th percentile lower bound was more than 13 per cent.

The estimated increase in rainfall for the region attributable to the ATLANT™ operation was 35 GL.
